Sephiria Weapons – Complete List, Unlock Guide & Upgrade Trees
Explore all Sephiria weapons including sword & shield, greatsword, dagger, crossbow, saber, pole and staff. Learn how to unlock each weapon and its upgrade paths.
Sephiria features a growing arsenal of weapons, each with its own combo patterns, damage coefficients, and upgrade trees. As of March 26, 2026, the game includes 6 weapon types: standard sword and shield, steel greatsword, dagger, large crossbow, saber (도), and pole. The staff was added later with Chapter 5. Every weapon can be reinforced up to two times, with the second stage building on the first. This guide covers all confirmed weapon types, how to unlock them, and their upgrade paths.
Weapon Overview
Each weapon in Sephiria has distinct characteristics that shape your playstyle:
| Weapon | Combo | Attack Speed | Stiffness | Special Mechanic |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sword & Shield | 3-hit | Medium | Medium | Guard and Perfect Guard |
| Steel Greatsword | 3-hit | Slow | High | Charged Whirlwind |
| Dagger | 5-hit | Fast | Low | Parry and Fury |
| Large Crossbow | Magazine-based | Medium | Medium | Ranged, piercing arrows |
| Saber (Do) | 3-hit | Medium | Medium | Lead/Strike stance switching |
| Pole | 4-hit | Slow | Medium | Counterattack guard |
| Staff | — | — | — | Magic-based attacks |
Damage coefficients vary by weapon and by attack type. For example, the sword and shield uses a cycle of 100%–100%–170% physical damage per normal attack combo. The greatsword's normal attacks hit for 175% each, while its special Whirlwind can deal up to 400% damage.
Artifact activation coefficients also differ per weapon. The greatsword has a 150% coefficient, while the dagger sits lower at 68.75%. Certain weapon enhancements modify these values.
Weapon Upgrade System
Every weapon in Sephiria can be enhanced twice. The second enhancement is an extension of the first, meaning you must choose your first upgrade carefully.
Key rules:
- First enhancement changes the weapon's base behavior or adds a passive effect.
- Second enhancement builds on the first, often changing special attacks or adding new mechanics.
- Some enhancement trees are attribute-specific (fire, ice, lightning) and only work with matching builds.
- Certain artifacts are weapon-specific and only appear while holding that weapon type.
Removed Enhancements
Two enhancement trees have been disabled by the developers:
- Minimalism (greatsword tree) – disabled in patch 0.9.6
- Safe Start (dagger tree) – disabled in patch 0.10.6
These trees are no longer obtainable in current versions of the game.
How to Obtain Weapons
Starting Weapons
The standard sword and shield is provided as the default weapon. Other weapon types become available through progression and in-game unlocks.
Unlocking the Staff (Chapter 5)
The staff was added with Chapter 5 and requires a specific unlock process:
- Complete Chapter 5 and ensure the game is updated to the latest patch.
- Go to the Destiny Inscription Key – the central hub for unlocks.
- Scroll about halfway to the left and find Graceful Weapon Training.
- Purchase it for 10 Sapphire.
- This unlocks training with Morrow in the starting zone.
- Use the Recall to return to the Place of Relocation (the original starting area).
- Go to the bottom right where all weapons are displayed.
- Talk to Morrow, then enter the Staff Training Ground.
- Complete the training (about 2 minutes).
- The staff will now appear alongside the other weapons.
The staff's starting tree includes options for lightning, cold, fire, attack speed with dash count, max MP for blocking, and extend staff.
