Sephiria Costumes Guide: How to Unlock Every Outfit
A practical Sephiria costumes guide covering default, unlockable, and secret outfit requirements, with notes for version-sensitive community data.
Costumes are collectible outfits in Sephiria. They are useful as a completion goal and, in some builds, can be part of a character or companion setup. The official 1.0 announcement says the game includes more than 20 costumes, while older community guides record only the subset they had verified at the time.
Costume Categories
The clearest available community breakdown separates costumes into three groups:
| Group | What it means |
|---|---|
| Default | Available without a special unlock condition. |
| Unlockable | Earned by completing a gameplay milestone or objective. |
| Secret | Hidden behind unusual cumulative actions or a special ownership condition. |
The exact collection can grow or change with updates. This page therefore keeps requirements tied to their source and does not present an old guide's partial list as the complete current roster.
Appearance Variants in Version 1.0.24
Version 1.0.24 added appearance variants to seven costumes. The announcement confirms the addition, but does not publish a complete public mapping of every variant to its costume or unlock condition. Check the Costume menu after updating and treat any older community list as incomplete until the game confirms the current unlock state.
Reported Unlock Conditions
The following conditions are reported in the Steam community guide and should be checked against the current game version before treating them as definitive:
| Costume | Reported condition |
|---|---|
| Red-Clothed Cat | Reach 50 Fire Damage. |
| Red Fox | Use 10 or more Tablets in one run. |
| Frog | Reach 50 Lightning Damage. |
| Mole | Defeat 300 fanatic moles. |
| White Wolf | Defeat the second boss five times. |
| Wizard Bunny | Get 50 magic kills. |
| Skeleton | Deal 333 cumulative damage in one run. |
| Wingless Bat | Complete Blood Donation five times. |
The same source labels the Adventurer condition as an assumption involving ownership of Dungreed rather than a fully confirmed in-game requirement. See the dedicated Adventurer Bunny guide for the cross-game condition and effect notes.
How to Track Unlock Progress
Use a simple checklist while playing:
- Note cumulative counters when a run ends.
- Record the damage type before chasing a damage milestone.
- Take a screenshot or note the unlock notification when a costume appears.
- Recheck the Costume menu after restarting the game.
- Do not repeat a difficult condition if the menu has not confirmed the unlock.
For multi-run conditions such as boss defeats or enemy totals, keep the count in a personal note because the community sources do not expose a reliable current progress API.
Costumes and Builds
Some costume effects or companion interactions may matter to a build, but a costume should not replace the core weapon, Artifact, and Tablet plan. Compare the companion build after confirming the outfit's current tooltip. For the item board around it, see the Sephiria Artifacts guide.
What This Page Does Not Claim
- It is not a complete current inventory of every costume.
- Older community conditions may have changed after the 1.0 release.
- The Adventurer condition is not treated as confirmed.
- A reported unlock condition does not prove the costume has a gameplay bonus.
