Sephiria Dagger – Stats, Upgrades, and How to Obtain
Learn all about the Sephiria dagger: base stats, parry and Fury mechanics, every upgrade path, how to unlock it, and how it compares to other weapons.
Overview
The sephiria dagger is the third weapon unlocked in Sephiria, a fast-attacking melee weapon that trades hit stun and raw damage for speed and precision. Its defining feature is the Parry special attack, which lets you negate enemy attacks and follow up with a powerful Fury lunge.
Unlike the standard sword and shield or the steel greatsword, the dagger has almost no ability to interrupt enemies. You must rely on agility, positioning, and well-timed parries to survive encounters. This makes it one of the most technically demanding weapons in the game, but also one of the most rewarding when played well.
The dagger is part of a weapon roster that, as of March 2026, includes six total weapon types. Each weapon can be reinforced twice, with the second reinforcement building on the first.
Data Table
The dagger's base stats and damage coefficients are summarized below. These values are sourced from the weapon enhancement database.
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Normal attack combo | 5 hits |
| Normal attack damage coefficients | 0.58 / 0.58 / 0.6666 / 0.6666 / 1.2 |
| Dash attack coefficient | 1.1 |
| Parry coefficient | 1.3 |
| Fury coefficient | 4.8 |
| Probabilistic artifact activation coefficient | 68.75% |
| Attack speed | Fastest of all weapons |
| Hit stun | Very low |
The low activation coefficient means that artifacts with a chance to trigger on weapon attacks will proc less often with the dagger than with slower weapons.
How to Obtain
The dagger is unlocked as the third playable weapon in Sephiria. According to a player-run playthrough, the weapon becomes available after unlocking the first two weapon types, with the dagger being the next unlock. The exact unlock condition is not confirmed in the source material.
Once unlocked, the dagger can be selected at the start of a run. Weapon enhancements for the dagger appear at the Anvil during a run, allowing you to change its behavior and specialize your build.
Uses
Parry and Fury
The dagger's special attack is Parry, which consumes MP and has a generous timing window. When you successfully parry an enemy attack, your weapon glows red and you gain Immersion. Pressing the special attack button again consumes Immersion to unleash Fury, a forward lunge that deals massive damage and briefly ignores enemy attacks.
Community reports from a player playthrough note that not every enemy attack can be parried. For example, thrown explosives cannot be parried. Some boss attacks also appear to be unparryable, though this has not been systematically verified.
Playstyle
Because the dagger has almost no hit stun, you cannot simply attack enemies to interrupt their moves. The dagger rewards:
- Precise parry timing to negate attacks and build Immersion
- Kiting and positioning to avoid damage while the fast attack combo whittles down enemies
- Fury management to burst down enemies or escape dangerous situations
A player-run playthrough describes using the dagger with the Red Hooded Rabbit costume, which lowers max MP but increases MP regeneration. This allows more frequent parries, since parry costs MP.
Build Synergies
The dagger's fast attack speed and multi-hit combo make it a strong candidate for:
- On-hit effect builds that trigger on every weapon attack
- Critical hit builds that benefit from many attack rolls
- Companion builds that use the dagger's mobility to stay safe while allies deal damage
Upgrades
The dagger has seven primary upgrade paths, each with two reinforcement stages. The second stage builds on the first.
| Primary Upgrade | Effect | Secondary Upgrade | Effect |

| Jade Remnant | Parry disabled. Gain Immersion every 2.8 seconds. Evasion increases charge speed up to 33%. | Endless Sleep | Evasion further increases Immersion charge speed. Removes the charge speed cap. |
| Academy Magic Sword | Parry costs 0 MP. Successful parry recovers 22% MP. | Book of Imitation | Fury becomes Grimoire: Duplicate, reusing the last spell book cast once. |
| Academy Magic Sword | (see above) | Academy Magic Sword – Liberation | Fury becomes Liberation: consumes all MP to fire projectiles (1 per 8 MP). Damage scales with max MP. |
