Sephiria Elru Quest Guide: Where to Find Her

If the objective says Ask Around to Find Elru, the difficult part is usually not the conversation itself. The objective is deliberately vague, and Elru can be easy to miss when you move between the open map, the woods, and the larger buildings. This guide turns the search into a short route and gives you a recovery checklist if the dialogue does not trigger.

What the Objective Means

“Ask Around to Find Elru” is a location-and-dialogue objective. It does not point to a single obvious quest marker in the way a boss room or a chapter entrance does. You need to inspect the likely hiding places, approach the character closely, and interact when the prompt appears.

The exact wording and placement can change with the game version. The locations below are based on a current player report for this objective, so treat them as a reproducible search route rather than as an official map naming system. Elru Search Route

1. Check the trees at the bottom of the map

Start at the lower edge of the map and walk through the trees instead of following only the central path. The reported first position is hidden in the trees near the bottom of the map. Move slowly, sweep across the tree line, and watch for the interaction prompt or a character silhouette behind the foliage.

This is the easiest spot to skip because the camera and scenery can make a character look like background decoration. If you reach the lower boundary without seeing a prompt, move left to right in a deliberate line and check both sides of any narrow gap between trunks.

2. Check the woods in the upper-right area

If the lower trees do not advance the objective, travel to the woods in the upper-right portion of the map. The same report identifies another possible Elru position there. Stay inside the wooded area long enough for the character to load and approach from more than one direction.

Do not assume that seeing the area is enough. Walk toward each visible opening, stop beside likely NPC positions, and try the interaction button. If the prompt is blocked by scenery, adjust your position by a few steps rather than leaving the area immediately.

3. Search the large mosaic building

The third reported position is inside a large building with a mosaic puzzle or mural. Once inside, check the right side of the tree near the interior column. The report describes Elru as being behind the column to the right of that tree, so the character may be partially obscured from the normal approach.

Use the building as the final stop in the route. Walk around the tree and column, face the hidden side, and interact again. A direct line to the character can be blocked even when the character is close enough to render.

Fast Checklist

Use this order when you want the shortest repeatable attempt:

1. Save or reach a stable area before beginning the search.
2. Sweep the bottom-of-map trees from one side to the other.
3. Travel to the upper-right woods and check every opening.
4. Enter the mosaic building and circle the tree and nearby column.
5. Interact only after Elru is fully loaded and your character is facing the hiding spot.
6. Return to the previous objective giver if the quest text does not update.

If Elru Does Not Appear

First confirm that the objective text is exactly the Elru search objective and not a different chapter task. Then leave the area and return, because a transition can refresh NPC placement. If you are playing co-op, let the host lead the interaction and make sure other players are not occupying the same dialogue trigger.

Also check whether you are searching in a different chapter state from the report. Sephiria's progression, chapter flags, and map state can change what is loaded. Avoid treating a missing NPC as proof that the location is wrong; confirm the current patch notes and retry the three locations after a reload.

What Happens After Finding Elru

Interact until the dialogue completes, then check the objective panel for the next instruction. If the task remains active, return to the quest giver or the last location named in the dialogue. Do not leave immediately after a single line if the game presents multiple interaction prompts.
