Sephiria Meditation Book Guide: How the Artifact Works
Learn what the Sephiria Meditation Book does, why it does not auto-cast spells, and how its cast-time effect changes Grimoire builds.
The Meditation Book is a Sephiria Artifact for spellbook users. Its main behavior is to reduce or remove the short cast-time animation for Grimoires. It does not automatically cast every spell for you.
What the Meditation Book Does
When you press the input for a Grimoire while using the Meditation Book, the spell begins without the usual short aiming or cast delay. You still choose when to activate the spell and still need to manage the Grimoire's normal cooldown, resource cost, and effect.

How to Use It in a Grimoire Build
Meditation Book is most useful when the run already has a reliable Grimoire plan. Pair it with effects that improve Grimoire damage, Grimoire Haste, MP recovery, or safe positioning. Do not take it at the cost of all defensive options if the run still struggles to survive ordinary rooms.

Meditation Book Does Not Auto-Cast
The most common question is why the book does not trigger a spell by itself. The current community explanation is that it removes the small delay at the start of a cast. The player still selects and activates the Grimoire manually.
If the effect feels inactive, test it with the same Grimoire in a safe room:
- Note the normal cast-start animation.
- Equip Meditation Book without changing the rest of the board.
- Press the same Grimoire input again.
- Compare the start of the cast, not only the final damage number.
Version and Bug Notes
Older Steam discussions report confusion about Meditation Book values and whether higher levels increase magic damage as expected. Those reports are useful troubleshooting evidence, but they do not establish a permanent current bug or a universal value for every game version.
When the tooltip and an old guide disagree, record the game version and trust the current tooltip until an official update or reproducible test confirms otherwise.
