Destiny Inscription is Sephiria's permanent progression menu. It is separate from the temporary Artifacts and Tablets collected during a run: Destiny Inscription choices are used to shape future attempts, unlock systems, and improve the long-term account state.
Some older translations and community posts call the menu Fate Engraving. Use the label shown in the current game build if the wording differs.
What Destiny Inscription Does
The menu can contain several types of permanent progression:

How to Use the Menu After a Run
- Return to the village after the run ends.
- Open Destiny Inscription and read the full node description.
- Check whether the node is a permanent unlock, a stat upgrade, or a mode entry.
- Prioritize a flexible unlock before an upgrade that only supports one weapon.
- Reopen the menu after a patch because some descriptions and conditions have changed during Early Access.

Destiny Inscription and Hard Mode
The Hard Mode route is version-sensitive. Current community and official update notes describe Root's Retreat access through the Destiny Inscription menu in cases where the normal unlock prompt is unavailable after chapter progression.
If Root's Retreat is missing:
- Confirm the required chapter clear on the current save.
- Talk to the Tree in the village if the game asks for that step.
- Scroll to the bottom of Destiny Inscription and check for the Hard Mode entry.
- Follow the current in-game text instead of copying an older Early Access route.
