Sephiria Build Calculator Guide: Plan Your Weapon and Relic Setup
Use this Sephiria build calculator guide to compare weapon, relic, combo, Tablet, and defense priorities before committing to a run.
This Sephiria build calculator workflow helps you compare a build before spending a reward or moving the inventory board. It is a planning method, not a promise that one numerical score is always the best choice.
Build Planner Inputs
Record these inputs before comparing two setups:
| Input | What to record |
|---|---|
| Weapon | weapon type, upgrade branch, and main attack |
| Damage source | physical, elemental, Grimoire, companion, debuff, or mixed |
| Core relics | the items that make the build function |
| Combo tags | current count and realistic next threshold |
| Tablet links | affected neighbors and open cells required |
| Defense | HP, block, evasion, recovery, or defensive relics |
| Resources | MP, cooldown, dash count, and any activation cost |
A Simple Comparison Score
Use a three-part score for each candidate reward:
- Core value: does it increase the build's main damage or survival loop now?
- Uptime value: can the effect be triggered consistently in normal rooms and boss patterns?
- Board value: does it preserve or improve the footprint, Tablet adjacency, and future reward space?
Rate each part from 0 to 3. A candidate with a lower damage number but a higher uptime and board score is often the better pick. Do not add scores from unrelated builds; compare both rewards against the same current plan.
Manual Inventory Simulator
Before moving an item, sketch the board as a grid and mark:
- occupied cells and item footprints;
- Tablet direction and affected neighbors;
- open cells reserved for a future core relic;
- conditional items that can be moved without breaking the main combo.
Then test the candidate in this order:
- Place the item in the smallest valid footprint.
- Recalculate active combo counts.
- Check every Tablet relationship that changed.
- Remove the least important item if the board is full.
- Compare the current stats, not a late-run ideal.
The Inventory Grid guide gives the detailed placement rules. The Artifact Constraints guide explains why an item can look strong but remain inactive.
Build Templates to Compare
General Damage
Choose one weapon damage source, one compatible combo, and one defensive fallback. This is the best baseline for comparing a new reward.
Grimoire
Record MP cost, cooldown, Grimoire damage, and a fallback attack. A high theoretical spell score is not useful if the rotation cannot be maintained.
Companion
Record companion damage, respawn or duration support, mana, and the weapon used while companions occupy the enemy's attention. Use the Companion Build as a reference.
Hard Mode
Give survival and uptime their own score. A build that clears one room faster but loses its core after a single hit should not outrank a stable route.
Calculator Mistakes
- Counting a combo tag without checking its activation threshold.
- Treating every damage bonus as universal.
- Ignoring MP or cooldown costs.
- Filling the board before the core relics appear.
- Copying a screenshot from an older patch without checking the current tooltip.
